Investiture Ceremony 2016

'Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life'. To give the first hand experience of leadership to its students, Sherwood Convent School organized Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected Student Council 2016-17 on July 16, 2016. The incessant rain couldn't dampen the spirit and enthusiasm of the students and teachers. The ceremony started with the outgoing Student Council members returning their badges to Principal Mrs. Kanchan. They shared their experiences with the gathering. The New Council was sworn in along with the members of Eco and Interact clubs with a promise that they would carry out their duties with integrity, faith and excellence. The New Council comprised of Samyukta Banerjee and Preet Choudhary as Head Girl and Head Boy; Vishi & Vihaan as Vice Head Girl and Vice Head Boy; Vanshita & Amit as School Prefects; Jasmeet, Shafiya & Sahil as Cultural Secretary and Sandhya & Sahil as Sports Captain. Addressing the students Principal Mrs. Kanchan recited a very beautiful and inspirational poem with a message 'We can be the very best of whatever we are'. Applauding the efforts & work of previous Students Council, she welcomed the new one with a message to work earnestly.
