Sherwood Convent School is a vision envisaged and accomplished by our founder chairman Late Mr. M.L.Malik in 1993. It is affiliated to CBSE, located in the heart of the millennium city of Gurugram.
‘LEARN TO RISE’, we have been moulding young minds into confident, sensitive, well integrated young adults equipped with the life skills necessary to take on the challenges of the competitive world.
We, at Sherwood Convent School focus to measure the extent of an individual’s success in making full use of his/her talent and opportunities. We aim to identify and, meet the special needs of each child in terms of physical, intellectual, social, emotional, aesthetic and spiritual growth. The curriculum has been designed to recognize and encourage individual talents of all kinds in students at different stages of their development. It is, at the same time, flexible enough to take into account the demands of college, universities and examining bodies.
It is our endeavour to illustrate the inter-relationship of all human knowledge and to emphasize the need for learning to be seen as a life long process. We try to foster an appreciation of human creative skills; to stimulate intellectual curiosity; to develop an interest in the process of learning to encourage clear thinking and develop the capacity to tackle problems.
The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done.
The school’s mission is to provide a learning environment that encourages children to bring out best in them. Sherwood School recognizes that each child is an individual, all children are creative and all children need to succeed. Therefore Sherwood School respects the individual needs of the students, fosters a caring and creative atmosphere and emphasises on the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each child.
Another of our mission is to instill civic sense, good habits, and citizenship values among our students. Along with all this we aim at providing a safe, secure and conducive environment in which children learn to respect one another and can dare to dream.
